Carve down into the world of wooden forms in this exploratory, hands-on wood carving class!
Over three days, we’ll focus on carving fundamentals and the creative use of wood to make non-traditional vessels and sculptural forms. Using carving gouges and hand-shaping tools, students will hollow, shape, and refine their own bowl, container, dish, vessel, or free-form object. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of wood’s properties, develop confident hand-tool skills, and leave with a beautifully carved piece that reflects both process and experimentation.
